Country music singer/songwriter Chase Rice is no stranger to the southern culture.

As a Carolina native, he appreciates the scenic views of the beach and taste of fried seafood.

In town for the 25th annual Crawfish Music Festival, Chase spent the day soaking up the sun at Biloxi Beach.  Along side him were “My Church,” singer Marren Morris and rising star, Ryan Hurd.

Recently out of his record deal, Chase has been hard at work creating new music.

His recent single, “If I’m being honest,” surprised many, with his raw emotions leading the way for his acoustic guitar.

“I don’t have a record deal anymore so I can pretty much do whatever I want,” Chase said.

The songwriter always incorporates his life experiences into his work.

“That’s kind of the only way I know how to write songs,” Chase explained, “You can’t overthink music.”

Chase co-wrote the popular single, “Cruise,” which was record by country duo, Florida Georgia Line, back in 2012.

He plans on his new album being his best yet.

The album is expected to release in September of 2017.
